Vision Statement and Announcement

Andy Fogle, CEO

This year your board of directors along with the management of Serve Credit Union have spent a great deal of time focusing on the future of the credit union. We focused on concepts about what our members will want in the next 5-10 years and we created a vision of four areas that we need to address in order to be relevant and in a position to help our members over the next decade.

As you can see below our top priority is always exceptional service! We know that we fall short of this goal sometimes, but we are always striving to provide the very best service to every member. Next, we want to ensure that you can count on Serve Credit Union to provide a high-quality line-up of financial products and services. In order to accomplish this goal, we have added several technological updates such as an app and redesigned website. The third part of our vision is member and community collaboration. A recent advancement that starts with quality products and bridges into member and community collaboration includes partnering with a highly respected financial company, Vision Financial Group!

Member and community collaboration involves listening to what our members want in products and services, then finding business partners that can deliver solutions to our members. We have worked in a number of different ways to address this, and I want to share with you today an exciting new opportunity for Serve Credit Union. Polk County Schools Credit Union has an office located in Urbandale and is open to teachers and school employees in Polk County and surrounding counties. In many ways PCSECU has a similar membership structure to Serve Credit Union. Their members have stable incomes and careers and are well respected within the public eye. At the end of September, the members of PCSECU will vote to merge with Serve Credit Union. It’s an exciting time for them, and for us, as it helps to diversify our member base, adds additional revenue streams and helps us to ensure longer term viability through growth.

This brings me to the last section of our vision – financial strength. Any decision that we make must have a positive long-term outcome for the CU and ultimately position us to remain financially strong. We are in a very strong financial position, and we want to remain that way not only for the next 1-2 years but for the next several decades.

All four corners of our vision must work together in order to ensure that we can not only survive for the next decade but that we continuously push to become better for our members and owners. Thank you for trusting us with your financial lives!
