David Beck

 

“I served on the USDA Employee's Credit Union board in 2006, 2007, 2008, when I resigned from the board upon transferring out of the Des Moines area. I have experience in managing large budgets and managing a small business. I joined the USDA Employee's Credit Union in 1979 and have been a continuous member of the successor CU's since then.”

ADDITIONAL BIO:

Occupation: Retired USDA-NRCS, Self Employed as a consultant with Clarke County Reservoir Commission

Education: BS Wildlife Biology from Kansas State University, MPA Public Management from University of South Dakota

Organizations: Kansas State University Alumni Association, Soil and Water Conservation Society Member

 

Nick Brockman - Incumbent

 

“I have focused my professional efforts on being an effective leader who evaluates every situation carefully and works toward the best possible outcome based on the information available. I excel at gathering facts, assessing risks, and making informed decisions, which has strengthened my leadership abilities throughout my career. I am committed to ethical conduct, thoughtful analysis, and collaboration—all qualities that support effective oversight. I continue to learn more about the operations of the credit union and contribute actively as a board member. My goal is to bring my leadership experience, decision‑making skills, and dedication to service to the board to help support the credit union’s mission and long‑term success. I feel that I have a vested interest in the credit union, having been a member for over 25 years. I consider myself a forward thinker who is always looking for new ideas and technologies that can help the credit union continue to grow and remain competitive. I would be honored to continue to represent the members of Serve Credit Union by serving on the board and keeping an active role in the organization’s future. I want to continue to contribute my experience, perspective, and commitment to helping support the continued growth and long‑term success of the credit union.”

Occupation: Public Safety Communications Manager with Polk County

Education: B.S. Business Administration from Waldorf University, A.S. Criminal Justice from DMACC

Organizations: Polk County 911 Service Board, Metropolitan Incident Command Radio Network, Iowa Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials, Iowa National Emergency Number Association

 

Jason Haigh - Incumbent

 

“I have a strong background in financial literacy, investment experience, and detailed knowledge of the credit union industry and in particular, Serve Credit Union. After being a member of a credit union for nearly 50 years, I still appreciate the idea that it is member-owned. Being part of the board gets me a seat at the table to be able to represent those members and to help shape Serve in a way that benefits our stakeholders.”

ADDITIONAL BIO:

Occupation: Asset Management with Principal Financial Group

Education: BA in Economics and Finance from the University of Northern Iowa


Voting

Voting will begin on Tuesday, 3/24 through Tuesday, 4/14.

You will need your Member Number and Last 4 Digits of your Social Security Number to vote.

Eligible to vote:

  • 16 years old

  • Member in good standing

  • A membership shall have one vote regardless of the number of shares held by the member

Voting will also be available in person at the Annual Meeting.
