Shared Branching
Locate A Shared Branch Location
Take advantage of Serve Credit Union’s shared branching services through CO-OP Shared Branch, and access your account at any of the 5,100 credit union branches nationwide.
How does Shared Branching Work?
With your unexpired Government-Issued Photo ID and Serve CU Member Number in hand, visit any credit union across the country that participates in Shared Branching to perform basic transactions on your Serve CU account! This is a huge benefit to Serve Credit Union members who travel, whose workplaces don’t coincide with our branch locations or hours, or who simply enjoy the convenience of expanded access. Wherever you are across the country, chances are good there’s a shared branch near you.

ID Requirements for Shared Branch Transactions
Starting May 1, 2025, members using a Shared Branch location with an out-of-state ID must complete identity verification through the new IDCheck system before conducting a transaction. IDCheck is a secure digital tool designed to enhance fraud prevention by verifying members’ identities. To use it, members will visit verify.coop.org, select Serve CU, enter their account number and last 4 Digits of SSN, upload a photo of their ID, and take a selfie. A one-time passcode will then be provided to show the credit union employee.
