Santa Claus at Serve Credit Union!

Please join us for the 7th Annual Santa Claus at SCU to extend the credit union spirit of “people helping people” to a deserving family within our field of membership!

From Monday, November 10th - Friday, December 19th we will collect gifts and donations at both of our branches! See below for each family’s wishlist or feel free to make a $$ donation!

  • $$ Donations can be made to a specific family, otherwise it will be split evenly between the 2 families

  • We can accept cash, a transfer from your Serve CU account, or checks made payable to:

    • Serve Credit Union

    • Memo - Santa at SCU name of Family

  • Gifts from their wishlist

    • Please specify which family they are for

    • Gifts can be left unwrapped and SCU will do the rest!

$$ Donations made before Giving Tuesday (December 2nd) will be matched by Serve Credit Union and split between the 2 families!

“Wrap” Up Party!

Please join us at Des Moines Prep School for a “Wrap Up” holiday party for our 7th Annual Santa Claus at SCU!

Enjoy Christmas Cookies,  Hot Chocolate, and a Holiday Craft  - open house style so come and go as you please!

If the Holsteen and Kay Families are able to attend, we will present gifts and donations to them during the event!

The Holsteens

“We are the Holsteen family--Jake, Katy, Graham (6), Collins (4), Rory (3) and Hank (dog). Jake is a Des Moines Police Officer and 1LT with the Army National Guard. He is currently deployed overseas. I hold down the fort at home with the 3 littles. Graham started Kindergarten this year. Collins is in preschool and Rory is home with Mama. We are missing Jake terribly, but we are so proud of all service men and women and the sacrifices they make along with their families. We are very humbled and grateful to be loved on this holiday season while Daddy is away.”

“After my brother passed away in November of 2024, my wife and I stepped in and adopted my brothers five year old daughter Arie. Just this past September we were happy to finally closeout the adoption process and officially welcome Arie in to our family as our daughter. Just when we thought we were smooth sailing, we were sadden by the news that Arie had been diagnosed with Leukemia. We are now in the beginning stages of Arie’s chemo treatments which will continue on for about 2 1/2 years.”
